WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR

 

This course trains Water Safety Instructor candidates to teach courses and presentations in the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program by developing their understanding of how to use the course materials, conduct training sessions, and how to evaluate participants' progress. The courses and presentations include Parent and Child Aquatics Levels 1 and 2, Preschool Aquatics Levels 1 - 3, Learn-to-Swim Levels 1 - 6, three adult courses, and the Basic Water Rescue and Personal Water Safety courses and more. To enroll, instructor candidates must be at least 16 years of age on or before the last day of the instructor course and successfully complete the precourse session which includes a demonstration of swimming skills at Learn-to-Swim Level 4.

Course Payment Information

Registration for Instructor Level Courses will require a $200.00 non-refundable deposit to secure your registration. While this fee is non-refundable, it is transferable to another Instructor Level Course providing a 7-day written notice is given.

4 to 6 days                50% Transferable

Less than 3 days      25% Transferable

Day of or No Show    0% Transferable

Information will be sent with confirmation on how to pay for course. Instructor Course Fee is discountable by $25.00 if paid more than 2 weeks prior to the start date.
